Eventing is an exciting sport combining the three equine disciplines of dressage, cross country and stadium jumping, traditionally held over three days of competition. Often considered the “triathalon” of equestrian sport, eventing is the ultimate test of both horse and rider. Eventing competition became an Olympic sport in 1912.
Horse trials combine dressage, cross country and stadium jumping and are based on the Olympic sport of eventing. Each qualifying horse and rider pair must compete in all three disciplines. It is a demanding sport that requires skill and stamina, attracting competitors from all walks of life, who each hold in common a passion for horses and for the great sport of horse trials.
