Ian Roberts and Napalm were part of an excellent Canadian adventure at the Rolex Kentucky CCI****, finishing 19th overall. Six Canadians finished in the top 20, an impressive feat given the highly competitive international field of 53 pairs who started, including many of the top riders in the world.
Ian and Smokey had a solid dressage test on Day One, sitting in 30th position, then jumped clean cross country but accumulated 11.2 time faults as Ian opted for the longer routes at a couple of jumps. That effort moved them up to 20th They had just one rail down in stadium to finish with a score of 72.7 and end in 19th place.
